Project Overview
The existing roof tiles were carefully removed and set aside so that they could be reused as part of the finished roof. Once the roof covering had been stripped back, the exposed structure allowed our team to prepare the roof properly before installing a new breathable roofing membrane and new timber battens.
Reusing the original tiles was particularly important on this property, helping to preserve the established appearance of the roof and complement the traditional stonework of the house. The tiles were carefully reinstated over the new felt and battens, giving the property the benefit of an upgraded roofing system without unnecessarily changing its character.
As part of the work, we also installed new ridge tiles, providing a secure and tidy finish along the roof ridges. New fascia boards were fitted to improve the roofline and complete the refurbishment.
The finished roof combines the property’s original tiles with modern roofing materials underneath, providing improved protection against the elements while maintaining an appearance that suits the age and style of the home.
